- The sahlep dissolves in another amount of milk
- Then it is added to the mixture over the fire (each cup of milk needs one or two tablespoons of sahlab powder) and sometimes starch is added as well.
- Stir the mixture constantly until it becomes thick
- Add drops of orange blossom or rose water
- Pour into cups and garnish with cinnamon, coconut, nuts (pistachios, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts) or dried fruits, and serve hot.
